~Lao Tzu
After reading yesterday's post from The Perpetual Wantrepreneur (http://theperpetualwantrapreneur.blogspot.com/2014/08/im-not-posting-title-or-essence-of-not.html) where he included some passages from Lao Tzu, I decided to read a few more and found the quote above.
I spent this past weekend with my family. While one or two moments were challenging (who doesn't have challenges in family life?) the vast majority of my time spent with them was wonderful. I worked to be truly present and in the moment. It worked! I drove home feeling content and happy that I had that time with them. I do believe that it's good practice to be present in ALL OF LIFE, not just family life.
Life is short, people, so spend as much time as you can with those you love and if they are older, even more so. One day they will be gone and you will be thankful for those moments (whether challenging or enjoyable).
