About My Blogs
Want to learn more about how you can increase your nutritional value? Want to start feeling better by changing the way you eat? Step by step, you can reach your health goals.
Along with some key nutritional information, I've posted links to some very useful sites that can help you on your journey to your own good health as well as good world-wide health.
According to Chia Ming in Essential Knowledge for Eating and Drinking (1368), food and drink are relied upon to nurture life. But if one does not know that the natures of substances may be opposed to each other, and one consumes them altogether indiscriminately, the vital organs will be thrown out of harmony and disastrous consequences will soon arise. Therefore, those who wish to nurture their lives must carefully avoid doing such damage to themselves. Sound advice which, although written back in the 1300s, should be followed today. It's all about LISTENING TO YOUR BODY!
There is more to nutrition than what you are putting into your mouth. It's about the quality of the food you put into your mouth. It's about the quality of the food people all over the world put into their mouths. I have included links to sites trying to bring about consciousness about the human state. So, along with some nutritional sites, you'll see sites that have articles that question your choice of food, organizations, political leaders, etc. The Good Human and Natural News are two of those sites. It's all good!

City | Life | Eats - Valerie
http://www.citylifeeats.com/ Valerie started this blog when she lived in New York. She loves everything city living has to offer. Although it seems she hasn't really updated it recently, it's still fun to go through the website. “Life” – Mindful living for Valerie is two parts lists/planning, one part contemplation, and one part spontaneity. She likes to write about all sorts of life topics including organization, pretty paper products, living in small city dwellings, yoga, beauty and makeup, clothes and time with loved ones. “Eats” – After a lifetime of sinus infections and stomach problems, she discovered that she cannot eat gluten, dairy and eggs. Later on she began to eat a strictly gluten-free, vegan, and semi-raw to high-raw diet, as that seemed to be what works best for her to maintain a consistently high level of energy. She loves to cook, try new recipes, and also pack a lunchbox of lunch and/or snacks almost every day. Check out her "Pearls of Wisdom" in her Mindful Living section. Some cute ones. |
